Undiscovered Gems – La Sécurité, Kindsight, LLO LLO, PYRO,

La Sécurité returns with an infectious new art punk anthem Hot Topic.  The single is fresh, full of attitude, and insanely catchy.  There’s a post punk ethos that paints a scope of influence but what shines brightest is the bands unique brand of discontent and erratic design.

La Sécurité create ordered chaos that flows fluid.  It’s heard in the clever time signature movements and how the lead instruments lay over it.  The vocal arrangement offers its own impeccable contribution to the overall arrangement, adding an inciteful narrative guaranteed to enrapture you.  The vibe gets under your skin in a way that will draw similarities to LCD Soundsystem. They adapt that vibe with compositional details that recall early Pretenders and how they used cut times signatures to reimagine their own brand of punk.  We can dig it.

Also, the video is dope!

We were drawn into the gorgeous duet heard on Tibet, the new single from Kindsight. Featuring fun progressive swings that inject catchy pop between doses of moody melancholy, Tibet is a master class in contrast.  It’s also heard in the polar voices, each with their own signature unconventional delivery and rare characteristics.

The hook is fun and addictive but it’s the thrashing full band musical movements that will leave an adoring in-concert crowd floored.  Guaranteed to get you to their show, Tibet offers a breakthrough for this exciting buzz project.  Stylistically we hear evidence of Ra Ra Riot but with more indie punk fury.

LLO LLO makes a strong buzzworthy statement with a pair of new singles that should put them on your indie radar.  The infectious Lush features catchy guitar work that graces the legacy of The Police. They inject a new indie sensibility in the vocal performance.  The execution by the entire band honors the sentiment, with impressive bass playing and drumming to make Sting himself envious.

The alternative Goodbye For Good adds some feel good pep, bridging the vibes of The Beach Boys, Weezer, and Vampire Weekend effectively.  It’s an exciting scope of influence updated with the bands own signature compliments.  What is LLO LLO.  LIVING LIKE OZZY, LOOKING LIKE OWEN.  We can dig it.

PYRO caught our attention with their new release Good Feeling.  This smart composition blends 90s slacker alternative with flashes of indie pop.  Subtle sonic nuances accentuate the songs best moments.  Its signature detail comes in the iconic beat drop and how the vocal resolves to embellish the impact of this trademark moment.  In that manner Good Feeling brings mainstream potential with indie swagger.  For us it bridges the gap between Bon Iver and Joji.  We enjoy it immensely.
