A Band Called Ma caught our attention with their new single MOUNTAINTOP. Stylistically it bears a diverse scope of influence. From dreamwave to shoegaze to classic rock, A Band Called Ma lets it all hang out with dramatic flair.
The songs moody ascension is epic and makes effective use of a rare Saxophone where so often a guitar or synth would be. The affect recalls iconic arrangement by dare-we-say Pink Floyd, and the vibe delivers with its psychedelic mind altering dreaminess. Big Thief meets Echo & the Bunnymen on this notable release.
