Jeen caught our attention with their new single Making Me Mad. Altogether an awesome song, the chorus is simply iconic. We’re talking hit song / timeless iconic.
She wears her influences on her sleeves while finding new blends to make this vibe her own. Somewhere between Nirvana and Teenage Dirtbag, JEEN finds their hit on this landmark release.
It’s still flying too far under the radar, as gatekeepers for grunge and rock keep pushing the classics over new emerging super stars like JEEN. For us Making Me Mad is the kind of new hit to challenge classic grunges stranglehold over rock radio. Give the kids a chance. Making Me Mad is a sure thing.

Terra Lightfoot drops a stop and holler indie rock anthem with their recent single Someone Else’s Feelings. Her classic rock tendencies shine within this indie sonic landscape, recalling the Blues rock appeal of vintage Rolling Stones within the modern indie rock aura known to Heartless Bastards.
The raw raunchy Saturday shuffle suits her reckless nature, as her voice breaks into her resolution with the fury of a woman scorned. Hearing her suffer through the anguish of this story is invigorating, as if this anger was bottled in waiting for the in concert moment to break free.
The single might offer her an additional career breakout moment as well. Someone Else’s Feelings is an infectious hit ready to push her even higher up the ladder.

The Joy Formidable is a rapturous underground indie rock force. Known for pushing the sonic intrigue of rock forward, the band enjoys a growing following close to burgeoning to the level of house hold standard. Releases like their new single The Hat should only add more fans to the mix, offshoots from Queen of The Stone Age or Wolf Alice looking to reconnect with the intensity known to the underground.
The Joy Formidable still present royally pissed off, free from the jade of success and celebrity. Better to get in now before the ship takes off.

With their new single Lips, the artist teasea admits that they found a creative outlet to explore the romantic struggles over lovers with parallel relationship habits. Their blend of shoegaze and 90s alternative suits this narrative.
Multi-instrumentalist Tom Criblez offers Jay Som and Alvvays as stylistic placemarks to chart this vibe. We think the association is dead on. Like them Tom finds some compositional surprise within the familiar. It’s a testament to his candid lyrical touch and how the songs progressive details add to the collective drama.
The cyclic insanity of lines like “So you said I was crazy maybe I am crazy but so are you my dear” evolve effectively int the passionate chorus chants of “what are you waiting for.” We love that clever cinematic design.
