We Three Kings has never sounded so haunting. We adore the new version offered by &Tilly. It brings notable mystique to this narrative, an underrated facet of the wondrous tale within this history.
&Tilly adds an atmospheric dreamy underlayer. It suits the singers impressive vocal performance elegantly. Her voice trembles like someone in fear for knowing a secret. It reflects how this history was passed down through the ages, not just for Christianity, but in how all religions faced persecution for spreading their message. Hear for yourself.

Casiocenz honors a treasured 80s Christmas classic with an inspired new version that flips the time period script on this work. Whereas the original trends commercial pop, Casioscenz gives Last Christmas an 80s alternative new wave feel. It’s most notable in the convincing vocal performance, one that nails the aura of this period while still feeling natural and approachable for radio. The original is great, but we have to admit we do prefer the meta vibe of the Casiocenz version.

Rick Gallagher Project honors the legacy of Vince Guaraldi with their gorgeous piano rendition of I’ll Be Home for Christmas. Besides the unique arrangements and gorgeous compositions, what made Vince’s work special was how he presented it in a way that it almost sounded like it was someone playing on your home piano. Its not a slight, its a compliment to its human presence. Robots won’t soon replace that touch. Rick Gallagher Project offers this work in that same manner.

Herbert Walker caught our attention with their new single We Don’t Talk (Not Even on Christmas). There’s a nostalgic reverence that cites iconic holiday classics elegantly. Beyond the vibe it’s a cheeky entertaining narrative that offers clever contrast to its feel good melodic nature.
Stylistically Walker embraces a classic croon with some of the indie sensibility known to recent works by Father John Misty. From the Tijuana Brass to the tremolo guitar to the soothing background vocals, everything is in its right place on this wonderful release. It even conjures memories of Elvis.
