From the imaginative guitar work to the lyrics striking imagery, there’ a lot to love on Innocent Sinner, the new single from h. eldritch. Existing on the fringes of indie-folk, dirty electronica and arena rock, h. eldritch is the genre-bending music of London-based artist and producer Harry Houseago. He blends this stylistic scope elegantly, adding an ascent of blue eyed soul in honor of his London roots.
On Innocent Sinner he dissects the complications of this dark gypsy soiree. It’s introspective in how he sees himself within this conundrum and as a mirror of this protagonist. There’s an admiration to this conflict, one that understands the trouble that comes with it. A combination of proficient musicianship and raw soul recalls the influence of Jeff Buckley with an added modern indie sensibility akin to Ben Howard. Check it out.

We were drawn into the dreamy haunting of Raindrops, the new single from Luhan Si Hadin. There’s gorgeous contrast between the lullaby cadence and dark haunting aura. It’s a melodic charm that’s absolutely entrancing, revolving in hypnotic resolutions like a musical meditation. The arrangement of ukulele, strings, and lofi vocals add to the nostalgic reverence. It accentuates their “old soul” aesthetic and gypsy flavor. Like a specter from a bygone underground folk circuit more connected to the journey than the destination.
That community aspect is fittingly rooted in its creation, as the song features Sacramento area locals (Nelz the Moon, NineFingers, and Who Is Estoria) forming the ethereal, borderline choral vocals, and with Davis-based Midnight Merc on production. It’s a striking detail baked into the songs aura, and a testament to the artists legacy within this scene. Ironically the artist offers that the song is about how you cannot be friend with benefits if you are not friends. An’t it the truth.

There’s a wonder to dreamy indie folk, a sense of adventure that pulls at our imaginative tendencies. It’s exhilarating in how it influences you to embrace life. Like musical inspiration, with subtle poetry to act as a motivational guide. We hear all of that in No Man’s Country, the gorgeous new single from wildwildsky.
“You’re stepping into the No Man’s Country, you try to forget every road you know.” It’s about the journey, not the destination.
“You’re riding wave every day now.” Embrace your truth, let it free you.
No Man’s Country could win comparisons that bridge the realms of early Bon Iver, Lord Huron, and Darlingside. They effectively offer a strong melodic world within this realm. We’re happy to embrace more of this.

James Wyatt Crosby knows what it means to be unseen. It’s heard within the isolated vibe of his new single Watcher.
“I’m a Watcher in your wake.” A clever song, Crosby gracefully alters the vibe without overwhelming the layers. It’s heard in the cyclic shifts like the alternating ride cymbal in the verses or the timely synths that stretch the melodic atmosphere. It serves to create a unique sonic world as a complete work, with his voice acting as the central balance. Stylistically it recalls the adored songwriting and arrangements known to Belle and Sebastian and Alex G. Nice work James Wyatt Crosby, we see you.
