Boko Yout and boerd caught our attention with their new single All My Life. This kind of disaffected spoken word style against a trip hop backdrop might draw immediate comparisons to Massive Attack and their work with cult icon Tricky. We also hear a melodic sensibility akin to the works of Moby.
All My Life is dark within a catchy accessible construct. The vibe adapts further in the outro vocal section, where a more expressive vocal melody adapts the vibe into the realm of The Gorillaz. We can dig it.

We were drawn to the infectious brilliance of Don’t Wanna Love You, the new single from lowe. An immediate dance pop smash, the single has real commercial potential while connecting with an underground audience unable to deny its effective impact.
Don’t Wanna Love You cites an aura of the classics without feeling cheesy. The melodic sensibility has a chic appeal, with an indie sensibility akin to Rhye to match its Michael Jackson instincts. It offers a sensual hit to this diverse project, one that has real super star potential.

Our search for abstract dance pop found a hero in Thea Dora and her new single Collected. This eery energy suits our unconventional taste. We simply adore the aesthetic. Collected retains its rare presence while embracing an undeniably catchy appeal. It’s a testament to the singers exotic presence and unique aura. This self prescribed party anthem grabs us in the same way we adore projects like FKA Twigs and Grimes. How do you hear it?

They call themselves I Wish I Was A Punk Band and we think they struck gold with their new single Sanguine. The punk influence on this is fairly limited, which makes the association even more charming.
Immediately catchy, the single features a magnetic melody with dreamy appeal. It draws you into the narrative while bearing an intriguing scope of influences. It’s a curiosity that tags an inspiration of early emo. In that way it reflects how other indie projects like The National and Sufjan were similarly inspired by that movement. We also hear an influence of Broken Bells and how it adapted the writing of The Shins with indie pop contrast. We simply adore this work.
