The first thing that drew us into Close To Never is the unorthodox way they utilize the saxophone in the opening segment. It’s more of a texture than a passion fueled substitute for vocals. The new single from Magenta Dusk keeps the legacy of synthwave moving forward, citing an influence of originators like Electric Youth in conjunction with newer genre stand outs like The Midnight.
