We lost ourselves in the cinematic hypnotic aura of something in the rain, the new single from Cosmorat. Initially dreamy but lyrically conflicted, the vibe evolves excitingly with the drama of the narrative.
It’s a diverse release in three progressive colors. Dream pop, psych pop, and shoegaze all have their moments on this theatrical gem. Stylistically we think its connect with the dynamic works known to Mitski, St Vincent, and Feist.

Where are our broken vocal heroes. Flora Cash embraces that legacy, catching our attention once again with their new single Dragon. The vocal performance is simply magnificent. It’s believable, full of hurt and vulnerability. Their quivering vibrato feeling torn from the trial of life rather than the sculpt of academia. It’s that truth that we love.
As songwriters their melodic instincts often sway towards the mainstream. Dragon is a nice dose of both, initially feeling tied to the underground whilst adapting with some added contemporary flavor. In that way they bridge the gap between Post Malone and the indie underground. Post Malone, albeit a breakout star who we admire immensely. flora cash feels on the brink of the same, as a flurry of effective singles push their story international. You’re still early, get into it.

We were pulled into the sonic rapture of you will always be a part of me, the new single from beholding. Seeped in violent contrast, the breakthrough sections erupt with an aggressive fury. It’s as if the music is tearing through the speakers, and through the emotional fabric of space and time. It’s experimental and innovative while embracing some approachability courtesy of the synth melodies undeniable magnetism.
At its essence the writing embraces an Alex G style alt folk sensibility, while the sonic reverence recalls innovators like Bon Iver and James Blake, while trending even more abstract and elusive in its creative aesthetic.

We love the catchy familiar post punk stomp of Daylight, the new single from Club 8. They update this vibe with the dreamy contrast of an indie pop style vocal. They bridge the gap between Clairo, the Strokes, and the Cure effectively.
The tonality is vibrant and filled with a comforting warmth. In tandem with their Swedish pop legacy it’s catchy enough to break through on radio while retaining an underground intelligibility. Hear for yourself.
