We dig the moody stomp groove heard on In Our Prime, the new single from Mars County. The vocal adds to the visceral conceptual disdain. Its a resistant affect, one that suggests an unwillingness to do what you tell me, or in this case adapt the beat double time cause you’re feeling freaky epic.
It’s a “we do what we want how we want to” kind of rebellious spirit. In that way it reigns sexual, ripe with a masculine swagger in a way that brings the bad girls to the front. Bridging the vibes of Steppenwolf and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Mars County embraces a legacy of explosive inner release.

She reigns majestic as crowned art punk Queen, tainted by the legacy of rock and roll while still wrestling with her trouble punk nature. Her performance is convincing. She conjures something real and complex, using that energy and funneling it through her vocal being in a way that moves you. We adore this work.
