Music Videos We Love – LEOBLU, Nicole Marxen, Veronica Lewis, Trae Berry

There’s a charming nostalgia to backlash, the new single from LEOBLU.  For us it’s like a lost scene from The Breakfast Club.  As if her and the dancing protagonist broke into the school theatre and put on an interpretive lip synced performance.  The singer is an absolute star, the kind of indie cute you fall head over heels for.  The song is catchy too, with an indie pop vibe that reflects the smart writing of Sharon Van Etten.  Check it out.

Turn the light off and immerse yourself in the video for Thorns, the new single from Nicole Marxen.  This kind of dark cinematography takes incredibly skill, and the team behind this video nails its.  This is our kind of dark trippy horror,  citing an influence of David Lynch with a more modern Hollywood level production quality.  An all around triumph that amplifies the songs dark cinematic brilliance.  Dark and oddly seductive, just how we like it.  The devil lies within, enter at your own risk.

We adore the nostalgic brilliance of Unless I Call, the new single from Veronica Lewis.  A classic 90s alternative heart with an indie spirit.  The sentiment is effectively reflects in the songs convincing music video, a proper throwback to that era’s music video legacy.  We hear a bit of Counting Crows and Matchbox Twenty mixed with the indie spirit of Phoebe Bridgers.  We love that blend.  Check it out.

A sense of youth and wonder enhances the video for Falling, the new single from Trae Berry.  A collage of homemade images capture the essence of summer elegantly.  There’s a carefree spirit that mirrors the feel good vibe of the music.  It suits the songs chill pop groove, as it reflects a vibe familiar to Dayglow.  Falling is a reminder to do summer proper.  Carpe Diem.
