We lost ourselves in the dreamy escape of Strawberry Moon, the new single from Sean Michael Mitchell. A beautiful song at the onset, it’s the second half that took us from interested to enthralled.
It’s at this moment that the singer conjures something rare and soulful. It’s an evolution he accepts gracefully, as his performance retains an extraordinary sense of candid inspiration. It’s a landmark performance, one we won’t soon forget. Stylistically we think it’s a sure thing for fans of Bon Iver, Hozier, and more classically Jeff Buckley.

Who knew that a project called Yellow Trash Can would offer such a magnetic groove. Their new single POV is savory sweet.
It’s a little dark and edgy while never straying too far from its catchy roots. It’s a testament to the artists melodic instincts. Combined with their abstract aesthetic, it’s glorious contrast. In that way it recalls the work of Frank Ocean and JOJI. We love it.

Ooh that’s fresh. I AM SOPHIA wins her second feature in a week as we are simply in love with her single Meet in the Middle.
We don’t typically feature reggae influenced music but this track just hits different. In that way it recalls the work of Tash Sultana and Citizen Cope. It’s got that universal feel that pulls in crossover fans from all styles. It’s a testament of its infectious nature and the singers sultry intoxicating delivery.
I AM SOPHIA is looking to reconnect us to our intergalactic origins, we think her talent will offer her the platform to do it.

The summers in full swing and we’re all starting to feel ourselves a little. JUNKYARD GALLERY offers that aesthetic a thematic summer soundtrack courtesy of their single Never Knew a Tear. An alternative R&B smokeshow that hits abstract and never strays towards convention while retaining a relentless catchy brilliance. Bottle that up and give us more of it.
If you like it catchy but you’re worn out on the verse chorus standard arrangement, then this ones for you. We can all see ourselves in its theatrical spark. It’s begging for an interpretive sing along. Imagine if Post Malone and Steve Lacy had a baby and raised him on Marvin Gaye and Daft Punk.
