We were absorbed by the upbeat serenity of Truest of Blues, the new single from True Blue. An excited dance pop electronic beat collides with an influence of dream pop convincingly. Most notably, every vocal part from this inspired duet adds a seductive level of intrigue. It’s infinitely fresh within a simple construct, and gloriously cinematic courtesy of its incredible production.
The project connects with artists like Caroline Polachek while suggesting some synthwave/darkwave tendencies. For us it’s just a great song no matter how you swing it.

Night Far Gone and singer Drew Tyler capture the essence of classic synthwave on their new single Safe Now. From the slow burn intro to a flurry of emphatic drops, Safe Now is all about heartfelt nostalgic drama.
It cites synth waves sentimental roots and how it effectively bottles up the most treasured aspect of 80s culture. It’s the personification of John Cusack holding the boom box over his head begging for deliverance from the dread of young adulthood. In that way Safe Now connects with the legacies of projects like September 87, The Midnight, and Timecop 1983.
