Music Video We Love – RUMIA, YEMEN BLUES, Slummy, Painted Vein

We adore the stylized cinematography seen on Emergency, the new video from Portuguese buzz artist RUMIA.  There’s a vintage noir art film magnetism.  It illuminates the artists exotic aura.  A flurry of images paint an intriguing portrait of the star.

Often introspective, she sneaks a few smiles to balance out her chic presence.  The vibe suits the songs moody indie pop vibe too.  It’s an elusive kind of seduction.  RUMIA is an underground Queen.

When it comes to music video champions none did it better in 2024 than Yemen Blues.  The international buzz project is breaking through courtesy of their innovative boundary breaking aesthetic.

From the music to the images that represent it, everything about this project is fresh.  Dig in to the modern choreography and interpretive brilliance seen in the video for their new single Prayers.  Everyone involved is masterful.

We were drawn into the madness seen in the video for Size Queens, the new video from Joshua Mohr and his multi-dimensional project Slummy

Punk rock girls have all the fun on this festive urban playground.  It’s slightly bizarre and metaphorically twisted.  The garage punk scene has something going on and Slummy is making us want more of it.  Here for a good time?  Jump in!

The legacy of Blair Witch Project gets an influenced revival in the video for Kick That Desire, the new single from MØAA & Painted Vein

The homemade video aesthetic fits their gloomy gothic shoegaze style.  The Wiccan association adds some scope of influence.  It’s a beautiful contrast of nightmarish and dreamy.  We’re into it.
