We love everything about Solitude, the new single from Blake Harley. The artist is pushing boundaries with a unique sonic design that defies convention. Its defining feature is a sick distorted bass line. The drums honor that energy with an equally infectious rapture.
The elegant contrast comes courtesy of Harley’s vocal and the glowing chiming lead that dances around her playfully. Her voice retains energy and passion while still utilizing her trademark hush. It’s a dynamic release, one that finds the middle ground between Kate Bush and LCD Soundsystem.

Trudy and the Romance is onto something. Fresh off the brilliance of Her Cadillac, the group returns with a convincing follow up. Break a Rock feels like an inspired musical moment. It’s a sweet arrangement, with the broken quiver of the singers voice finding all the spaces in between.
There’s subtle nostalgia interlaced with the an indie rock upbringing and unfiltered emotional instincts. Altogether it’s exciting and refreshingly unpredictable. You can hear a subtle influence of John Lennon or even their beloved Pet Sounds and doo wop buried beneath the indie sensibility. We love that kind of eclectic approach. Hear for yourself.

Melodic surprise. It’s kind of our aesthetic bedrock. It’s no wonder we were smitten by Gabba Delic and her new single Like Lovers Do. Strangely catchy and entirely unique, Delic is all about innovation.
Psych pop, disco, and modern indie pop all have a stake in this sound. Stylistically she fits in with innovators like Tame Impala and St Vincent. We think she’s a genius. Get into all of her new album, it’s a solid sophomore effort.

Baske in the musical representation of Nashua Watershed, offered as the new single from State Birds. Underground hipster energy embraces psych Americana with an added dose of bizarre courtesy of the songs homemade music video.
If you came upon this masked band of hipster gypsy’s you might think twice, but it’s alright. Stylistically they imagine how Gram Parsons might have fit into Dr Dog. It’s fantastic and super fun. The banjo is a vibe.
