Music Videos We Love – Jude York, Constant Follower, TheWorst, Futureheaven

Jude York drops a Hollywood quality music video for his new single Those Were The Days. His blend of art pop lyricism and a disco pop essence sparkle courtesy of the artists catchy instincts.  It’s like a mix of Abba and Vampire Weekend.

The video honors the sentiment with a curious blend of classic and modern.  York’s dual personalities are represented effectively.  The vintage setting adds to the authenticity.  Have some fun with it.

Constant Follower caught our attention with the video for their new single Patient Has Own Supply.  The videos slow dramatic design honors the songs own slow core essence.  A Grim Reaper style narrative keeps it dark despite the contrast of the scenes sunny afternoon.

Altogether the effort is masterful, with an effective use of costumery and shadow.  There’s even a reference to Clockwork Orange.  Check it out.

TheWorst aren’t afraid to cite their influences in both description and style.  They honor that inspiration convincingly.  Self described as the love child between Joan Jett and Nirvana, we dare say it hits even harder and rawer than either.

The band is simply awesome, with killer bass lines and an inspiring front person.  The singers performance is simply exhilarating, and you get a taste of their turmoil in the video for their new single Hackles.  We’re super into it.

We adore the contrast heard on Tired Eyes, the new single from Futureheaven.  A trademark of shoegaze, the single is basked in immersive noise while a dreamy harmonious vocal scans the atmospheric blanket.

A solid shoegaze release gets immortalized by its excellent music video companion.  The video embraces the songs contrast aesthetic.  The band is featured beneath hazy illuminated shots while a narrative plays out in intersecting sequences.  The story is one part romance one part dark stalker.  Not unlike the song itself.  Check it out.
