Women of Trip Hop – FEH, Rose Lowe, KOVA KOVA

Trip Hop purveyors FEH are back and they’ve got a new album called Split Second.  One of our favorite trip hop acts period, FEH is all about authenticity.  It’s easy to connect the dots between their sound and the first wave of trip hop.

They’re carving out their own space within this style courtesy of their lead singers dynamic presence.  She’s a complicated mix of dark and sultry.  It’s an elite level of mysterious, constantly dipped in the realm of femme fatale and the dark arts.  Groovy singles like the songs opener Teeming Mass lets her flirt in a realm of neo soul.  The contrast is intoxicating.  Get into it.

Singer Rose Lowe is flying too far under the radar.  Her voice is a sultry nostalgic dose of incredible.  Her lush textured timbre gets under your skin.  Its an intoxicating affect that suits vintage epilogues like her recent A Woman Scorned.  Here she channels the femme fatale nature of classic country.

She’s adaptable too.  Her vibe trends dark on the trip hop leaning Your Rotten Truth.  Her versatility connects with icons like Winehouse, Duffy, or Adele.  Those are big shoes to fill, but we’re not scared to make the association.  She’s a break away from being a star.  Hear for yourself.

We love the rare exotic aura riled by the voice of trip hop buzz artist KOVA KOVA. She recently blessed The new Eekkoo song Dream.  The song gets pushed into the netherworld courtesy of a remix by ASHE

We have no doubt the trip hop community is going to flip for this trippy psych hop highlight.  This is an instant classic.  From the sonic treats to the lofi jazz hop influence, everything is in its right place on this groovy banger.
