From the first moments of The Divide you know you’re on a sonic pilgrimage. The new single from James Ollier has that kind of inspirational pull. It’s a built up drama fit for an interpretive daydream. It’s the perfect soundtrack to accompany you to a milestone moment, or a chance to take control.
Ollier remembers a time when rockers swung guitars like switchblades. The progressions are consistently cool, while Ollier himself navigates the arrangement like a melodic investigator. Stylistically he bridges the gap between Sam Fender, Midlake, and The National. We love it.

Emmrose might be ready for her New Era. The underground troubadour has been up then down then up again. Her new single is down in the best way possible. It’s refreshingly dark indie pop in a way that’s believable.
It’s about the journey, not the destination. Emmrose has been churning beneath the surface for too long. This is the kind of dynamic single that should put her on the map. Emphasis on SHOULD. This is a cruel cruel world, a detail thats pulling Emmrose into a dark New Era. We think the new single should connect with fans of Joji. Alex G, and Clairo.

Mich Again caught our attention with their new single Bless of Light. The intro stumbles into the beat like a soul untamed. What follows is an outburst of soul and feeling. That sentiment erupts in the inspired chorus vocal.
A bilingual delight, Bless of Light breaks the language barrier convincingly. It’s exotic and catchy. Like a bridge between Jose Gonzalez and Bob Marley. Like both of them, Mich Again has the kind of soulful feel that shines in every light.

Jo Hill is just in time with her new single COMING HOME 2 U. We’re all going home to somebody this season. Whether it’s an old friend or a casual lover, there’s something about this possibly toxic relationship that makes us feel good.
Or maybe it’s perfect. No matter how you translate it, you can’t help but admit that it’s convincing. Hill asserts that with conviction in the inspired chorus section. Stylistically it’s a sure thing for fans of the Boy Genius canon. Get into it.

We lost ourselves in the infectious essence of The Feeling in my Fingertips. The new single from Annie-Dog is a vibe. The chill soft aggressive contrast of the backbeat sucks you in. The vocal parts entrancing nature winds you into her dreamworld like a hypnotic siren.
Once inside, you never quite figure out where you are, you just know its eternal bliss. It’s a testament to the songs unconventional design. Are we in the verse? Are we in the chorus sections? Who cares? We just want it to go on forever. It’s addictive. A sure things for fans of Grimes and Pinkpantheress.
