They call themselves the Atkins Tent Revival and their new single Let’s Be Afraid is rare nostalgia. We don’t get to cite comparisons to Cat Stevens as often as we’d prefer. It’s a testament to the singers voice and the soul he brings to his performance.
The folky instrumentation adds to the assimilation. We’re super happy about it. Comparisons can be a drag, but in this case it’s hard to ignore. We think it’s brilliant. Don’t be scared, get into it!

Marcus Kovelle caught our attention with their new single Bring Me Back. His voice has a comforting affect. It’s hazy and cool, with a smoky resonance that gets under your skin. The calculated harmonious picking of the guitar tickles the melodic landscape, as the warmth of a refreshing harmony eases the impact of the chorus shift.
Altogether it’s a gorgeous indie folk moment dedicated to the plight of resilience. Stylistically it should connect with fans of Noah Kahn and George Ezra.

Carla Aakre offers a somber melancholy musical moment with her recent these hours. There’s a wintery essence to this vibe. It fits the season elegantly and offers some relatable comfort.
Immerse yourself in the smoky timbre of her voice. Stylistically the arrangement and fidelity recalls an influence of light War On Drugs songs. It’s not the first time we’ve featured Carla. We’re big fans. We love her aura.

You might know her from Swarm, WandaVision, The Outsider, or Doom Patrol. She’s also an amazing singer. We found a proper indie alt folk holiday interpretation courtesy of Victoria Blade and her new version of Silver Bells.
The Jay Livingston and Ray Evans cover rarely ever sounded so intoxicating. A sure thing for fans of Laufey and Ukulele holiday classics. We think it’s charming. If you’re going to do a holiday song, you can’t do much better.
