Best New Synthwave – wolfbabycup, Balduvian Bears, HISEYYE, Bending Grid w/ Teya Flow and Jolie

Lose yourself to the curious dark moody contrast of soju, the new single from wolfbabycup.  The minimalistic arrangement harkens to synth waves first movement.  In that way we hear an influence of Kavinsky or College.

It’s like nostalgic duality, tagging both the eighties and the aughts effectively.  The dreamy reverence of the female vocal adds to the allure.  We freaking love it.

We love how Balduvian Bears captures a rare elusive classic synth pop energy on their new single escape.  That feeling is prompted by the charming drum intro, one that could easily be dismissed as corny if not followed up so convincingly.  What evolves is a true abstract new wave gem.  In that way it recalls the early innovative explorations of projects like Depeche Mode and New Order.

It’s refreshingly obscure but unabashedly catchy.  They can’t help their catchy instincts, but they manage to retain a dark aura courtesy of the drab melodic brilliance.  We love it.

Take a night drive with HISEYYE as your soundtrack.  That was our immediate reaction when we heard their new single HOW IT ENDS!  This dreamy retro pop escape feels tailor made for a sentimental breakaway.

The artists manages to find their own signature touch within the essence of this movement.  In that way it recalls the influence of synthwave mega act The Midnight. Fans of the classic retrowave sound will surely dig this vibe.

HISEYYE is featured on our Best New Synthwave Playlist.

A new month means more fantastic synthwave collabs from Bending Grid.  Let’s dig in!

Nothing hits you harder at the core than a convincing emotive vocal performance in the world of synthwave.  You get exactly that from Teya Flow on the track Hypersleep.  Featured by none other than synthwave buzz artist Bending Grid, Teya Flow gives the underground producer a chance at mainstream success.  It’s a true synthwave track that has real commercial potential.

Hypersleep is just one of two recent collaborations by Bending Grid that simply blew us away.  The other is the exciting fun single Party In My Time Machine, which features the sultry vocal prowess provided by Italian project Jolie.  The lyrics beg you to enter a night you won’t regret.  The singers invitation is convincing.  The original version is infectious, as are the remixes by Russel Nash and HeartBeatHero.  Depending on your mood you’ll need a bit of all three.
