Damn that’s fresh. That was our initial response to Gowithyou, the new single from RHNO. It’s a testament to the main progressions funky essence. It’s full of succulent swagger and flavored with pschedelic sonic sweetness. The whole mix is trippy fantastic. The candid presence of the vocal adds to the allure.
Gowithyou is a dreamworld where you never look back. It’s seemingly always moving forward in a way thats exhilarating. Coming in just over two minutes, the moment leaves you wanting more. It’s a selfish response considering the attention to detail it must take to create this type of immersive work. You’ll just have to dig deeper into the bands catalog to find out more. Stylistically we think it’s a sure thing for fans of Tame Impala, Childish Gambino, and Knower. Mostly everyone in the indie canon will dig this.

If you’re ready to embrace the simple life, then you can use the new single from flöat as your mantra. There’s a nostalgic aura to the feeling they inject into this song. It’s a testament to the subtle use of jazz chords intertwined between modern modes known to indie pop. The singers own lush hazy timbre has an ASMR affect, leaning completely into the feel while staying on task courtesy of their instinctual talent.
Altogether it’s gorgeous, with a relative narrative that stays true to itself to its last breath. It’s also mildly seductive, with the sultry mood of their voice coercing you to want the simple life with them. Stylistically the songwriter gracefully finds the middle ground between Billie Eilish and Laufey. We love it.

Sunnyland caught our attention with their new single Cemetery Man. The saturated textured presence of the music emits like a living organism. The vocal carefully circumferences as the band threatens to erupt at first signal. The affect is invigorating and gracefully pays of in the songs final epic moments. In that way the band embraces an influence of dreamy post rock and adapts it into their indie rock canon.
Stylistically they find the middle ground between ethereal dreamy and in your face. We love that blend.

“run down,” the newest single from Olympic Music, is full of longing. Yet the song’s lo-fi melody, steady drum beat, and shimmering vocals make it reliably warm and vibey. Listening to it transports us to a melancholic beach day (which we gladly welcome given the current temperatures in the Philadelphia area).
The catalog of Olympic Music—the ongoing recording project of Oxford, Mississippi based musician Andy Guinn—carries a heartland flair similar to that of indie-rock bands like The War on Drugs, but we think this song has more in common with the chillest tracks from indie-pop groups like The 1975.
