We love a unique vocal style. Denmark export STORFØLT has the kind of singer who gives us chills. He’s chic gothic romantic within an abstract unhinged construct. His timbre wades between a vibe familiar to Bowie and Future Islands. It’s heard on the bands recent single Elsebeth.
An epic blend of sound and fury, Elsbeth is a rock song with rich synth under layers. Combined with the vocal performance, it’s absolutely anthemic. This band is flying way too far under the race. We’re big fans of their whole catalog. Give them a shot!

“All I know is every thought is unoriginal.” It’s the first frustrated quip that drew us into Lavender, the new single from Geepers! It’s a frantic aggressive energy, as if it’s been bottled up to its breaking point. That coming of age release is refreshingly youthful. It’s one trait of this eclectic musical soup, one that finds the middle ground between post punk, dance pop, and psych pop.
Lavender effectively bridges the gap between MGMT, Daft Punk, and LCD Soundsystem. It’s super fun in a way that will push a live audience into a frenzy. The production elements are smart too.

We love a good art piece and The Unlimited Stars won our gaze with the images offered in the video from their new single A New Life. Intersecting installations amplify the abstract nature of their essence. The imagery offers metaphorical insights into their psyche.
Stylistically their music recalls the full band feel of Jeff Buckley with some added indie grunge tension. The bands lead vixen possesses an instinctually dark sex appeal, presented elegantly in the videos convincing fits of modern dance. We love it. Get into it.

You’re immediately grabbed by the opening sampled vocal part heard on Janakita Kirakita. It’s an asset employed throughout as a sort of pseudo chorus. It’s just one detail that we love about the new release from Jangus Kangus.
The singer adds some intriguing contrast to amplify the cinematic reverence. The intense rock performance is the songs trademark complimenting feature. In that way they bridge the gap between King Gizzard and Khruangbhin. We can dig it.
