Palmyra finds their trademark cool in their recent single Arizona. Attaching lyrical sentiments to a very real place lends itself to interpretation. Palymra’s Arizona is appropriately desolate and trending towards hopeless. It’s a metaphorical reference that lands genuine.
The songs chill jive shakes off the blues and takes these lyrical revelations in stride. The singer honors them with a candid heartfelt performance. They find the middle ground between Neil Young and Mac Demarco. We love the contrast that groovy yet dark sentiment allows.

Wolf Mask chronicles a complicated construct with his single Sunday Scaries (YGBA). A complexing variety of factors lend themselves to Sunday’s storied struggles. Is it the end or the beginning of the week? It it about last night or knowing you’re the farthest distance from next week’s possible next shot?
Wolf Mask finds some comfort while honoring the moments bizzarre perplexity courtesy of some creative production ideas. The acronym “you’re going to be alright” serves as the songs closing sing along mantra. Epic and dramatic, the single is truly effective. A sure thing for fans of Phosphorescent and Field Report.

India Thieriot sounds ready to erupt on her breakthrough single Stagnant. There’s an emotional build begging for release in the songs inspiring intro. That payoff comes courtesy of a pumping drum part tonally designed to sound like it’s going to explode out of your speakers.
Thierot brings a convincing amount of emotional yearn. Combined with the creative production Stagnant is a conjured cinematic musical experience. Stylistically we think it connects with breakouts known to Clairo and Del Water Gap. We can dig it.
