Music Videos We Love – Mobley, Dylan Perkons & Sian Alcorn, Dew Claw, Dax

Mobley drops one of our favorite videos of the year for his recent single Had To Be There.  Beautifully shot with a rare nostalgic aura, Had To Be There feels like a lost indie film treasure. Full of simple but effective ideas that just work, the camera work gets lifted by the two stars convincing performances.

Singing while riding a motorcycle at full speed should be enough to get you to press play. The songs a jam too.  Vibe with it.

We love what Dylan Perkons and Sian Alcorn drew up for their new single Edge of the World.  They invoke a lot of feeling into this art film aesthetic.  They say a lot with their gazes and in the subtle references without giving away too much.

It’s a calming, comforting song.  The video adds to the sanctity of this moment.  Is it the past?  Is it imagined?  Is it unrequited?  The final shot is a revelation and the videos most gorgeous.  Watch to the end.

Dew Claw is back and they’re celebrating with an on theme video for their revival single Wall.  These elder rock statesmen poke fun at their senior status.  It’s a cheeky feel good time with good intentions.

Sure, it’s a bit goofy, but there’s nothing funny about this indie rock performance.  The band truly rocks.  This sound is timeless.

Dax flips the narrative on his new single I hate that I love you.  The controversial multi media artist offers an alternative perspective from a man’s point of view.  There are a lot of people who won’t want to hear it, but certainly this narrative has happened.

Dax puts the Hollywood touch on a very not Hollywood certified script.  No matter how it makes you feel, you can’t say it never happened.  See how it feels when you want to keep the baby but she doesn’t.  The choice is hers, sorry fellas.
