We were drawn into the rapturous pump of Bye Bye Bye, the new single from Kitty Of The Valley. This is a new kind of post punk fury. You can hear the gothic influence blended with undeniable rock instincts on this incredible new single. The singer brings something rare and dark. It’s refreshing. There’s an aura that reminds us of The Cult or even the Doors, but blended with something considerably more psychotic and unhinged. There’s a refreshing does of weird, as if David Lynch’s ghost has infected her art approach. We’re freaking into it. Some like it darker. Enter the Valley and don’t look back.

There’s a dark comfort to Blanket Cave, the new single from The First Eloi. Seeped in intriguing contrast, the single features the singles serene timbre blended into a furious musical backdrop. There’s cinematic progressive tension courtesy of dramatic drop outs. It all serves to emulate the conceptual theme. Its a dooming affect, one where the safety of this storied cave does little to change the reality of the situation. Stylistically it’s a killer blend of grunge and shoegaze with real radio crossover appeal. Nice work!

We dig the dirty lofi garage anthem that is Wasteland, the new single from Heavy Wild. The broken distorted design amplifies the aggressive appeal. Dressed differently it could be a catchy post punk indie pop single, but adapted in this manner makes it feels like an undiscovered garage punk artifact. Stylistically it’s a sure thing for fans of TV On The Radio and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Like both it doesn’t overpolish, but it could. You know they could if they wanted to. It’s that genuine spirit that only makes us like them more.

Swedish export Kallsup caught our attention with their new single Gnistan. A dreamy post rock intro lands intoxicating, as you fall for the hypnotic nature of the bands lead singer. Her exotic timbre has a soaring affect. It pierces through the mics threshold. It lends to the songs building design. As it collides with the songs big booming breakthrough an epiphany occurs. Altogether it’s invigorating. The arrangement is charming too. They do a lot with simple ingredients. Everything is in its right place on this masterful single. Stylistically it’s a sure thing for fans of Wolf Alice and epic hard rock. Turn it up.
