We’re always excited to receive a new single from Ollie Wride. The retro pop icon offered his voice to the most important synthwave song not on the Drive soundtrack. That song is Running In The Night by FM-84, and its simply one of the most important influential songs of the last decade. It makes sense that Wride’s legend would rise out of that contribution. His new single Wish You Well is more proof that his Eureka breakthrough is no happy accident. Everything he touches is simply golden, and he can back it up in concert. Armed with a full band and an affinity for stardom, Wride is the proper lead singer front person most scenes are lacking. Synthwave has proven to be more than just a fad, but Wride won’t be bottled in. Everything he touches is going to have some nostalgic flare, but Wish You Well is a timeless pop banger in any era. Hear for yourself.

Damn that’s fresh. That was our initial response to BB, the new single from The Feather. Psych pop with a retro heart, The Feather is sort of retro pop adjacent. Its chill pop that can’t shake its 80s influence. For that we are eternally grateful. It makes sense too. The new single features the drummer from Phoenix, a project that came on with major retro tendencies with their masterful debut United. The Feather is guaranteed to attract their fans as well as fans of Mk.gee, Porches, and the broad retro pop cannon. Bliss out.

We found Synthwave truth in Ghost, the new single from oaly. The project manages to find some fresh fruit within this well traveled realm. Ghost has all the traits of syntwaves first movement while also embracing their electro pop sensibilities in the songs alternating movement. We’re cool with it. They add some R&B flare courtesy of their inspired vocal, a feature that will likely offer comparisons to The Weeknd. No matter how you take it, you can’t deny it’s infectious. Get into it.

The Last Nation have their own trademark synthwave flair. Their new single Another World (Reset Everything) only enhances that reputation. A brilliant classic Synthwave banger, the new single has a lot in common with classic releases from The Midnight or Sunglasses Kid. Like them, its guaranteed to conjure memories of New Retro Wave and classic wave brilliance. Its a nostalgic gem with subtle nods to MJ and classic 80s pop. We’re super into it.
