“In California You’re A Star.” The sentiment lands trippy within the imaginative arrangement offered on Cali, the new single from Clea. Indie pop with an experimental electro heart, Clea is a bizarre kind of chill. There’s something warped to her style, while her voice offers some equalizing balance. The production cues are entrancing, culminating in a soulful saxophone that interrupts the descent into psychedelia. Stylistically she finds the middle ground between Billie Eilish and FKA Twigs.

Kyle Andrews caught our attention with his new single Loose Tooth. The attentive arrangement finds everything contribution bringing something valuable to the mix. Its how the instruments worth within and around eachother that makes this most interesting. In that way it recalls the influence of imaginative recording artists like Ben Howard. From the groovy surprise of the drums to the pump and swagger, Andrews keeps you in it from start to finish.

Brother Thunder captured our vintage soul with his new single Midnight (Feat. Keezy). This classic retro soul feel lands authentic. Brother Thunder keeps it cool without descending into realms of contemporary R&B. Stylistically it should connect with fans of Leon Bridges while also catching the attention of psych pop fans courtesy of its dreamy production. Take notes.

Nother and Moon Leap curiously stipulate Nothing Wrong. The title of their new single feels like a mirage. At the root of this erotic feel is a spirit destined to break free. In that manner it recalls the inspired work of projects like Rhye. Like them, this Collab has one foot in the past and another in something entirely unique. Its a testament to the fruitful essence of this collaboration. There’s some trip hop flair too. We can dig it.
