We love the vitality bursting from Best Behavior, the new single from Dallas Ugly. Americana honky tonk instincts collide with an influence of the indie underground on this inspired gem. The performance is full of personality. The bands vibrant nature bursts through with energetic fervor. They make a country fiddle feel like it’s been around this indie rock arrangement since origins. Most importantly, the singer brings some backroad twang which amplifies the blue collar authenticity.
Stylistically its a sure thing for fans of The Revivalists or The Heavy Heavy. It’s a milestone release and just one highlight of their new album. Dallas never struck us as so pretty.

A rare feel good gem caught our attention. The song is Last Dance by the band Swivvel. Dynamic emo influences adapt intriguingly on this thoughtful release. Elements of yacht rock and chill pop break through elegantly.
The composition could have been produced in any manner. Dressed in this arrangement it reminds us a bit of Ra Ra Riot. We’re big fans and equally smitten by the songs romantic narrative. There’s a charming youthful glow emitting from the vocal performance. It’s refreshingly innocent. Take our hand and float away with us.

We appreciate the dynamic allure of thumbtack, the new single from JLJR. It’s a catchy song at its essence, but the production quality adds a delectable magnetic element. The sonic details are entrancing.
It evolves magnificently, warping out of its organic foundation into futuristic realms. The projects finds new modes of variation and surprise without drifting into progressive realms. The central idea remains intact while seemingly always running away. Stylistically we think it will connect with fans of Bon Iver and Ben Howard. It’s fantastic.

We got hit with an Espresso dose of excitement with Popstar of Your Dreams, the new single from Kai Bosch. The recording artist celebrates their eclectic brilliance on this unassuming energetic pop masterpiece. Its conversational narrative spins in jest of the songs infectious design. You are what you eat within this complicated lyrical assault.
They do it all while simultaneously ripping you out of your seat and onto the dance floor. To do what is a subjective principal. Some of us might rally in fits of ecstatic dance, while some of us might just break every piece of furniture within striking distance. Kai Bosch is invigorating. This ones of the post punks who love pop.
