Stimulus has released his new song “woKe.” The song, which is featured in the motion picture short film “HEARTIFICIAL,” shows Stimulus admitting all the ways he is “not woke” amidst the modern era of “woke” people. The song is an honest and vulnerable perspective that most fans can probably relate to in one way or another. “woKe” reminds me of a Saba track with a more sinister twist, something that was carefully curated to portray a specific vibe.
The song’s video showcases Stimulus in his place of work as he runs listeners through a string of guilt provoking aspects of his life, before finally returning home to the woman in question throughout the song. The honesty and vulnerability this song portrays is something people are often afraid to admit and talk about, and it shows a tremendous amount of strength and resilience on Stimulus’ part.

Tucca’s single “SIGO EN PUNGA” is out now. The first half of the track is a melodic anthem backboned by a beautiful soul sample and grand piano. The heavy hitting drums are reminiscent of classic Mac Miller tracks, and the overlying female vocals that back Tucca are a great harmonic addition that only makes the song feel more glorious.
A sudden break down and beat stop introduces the second half of the song, which feels like a clear ode to Tyler, the Creator. Its funky synths and distant vocal samples feel like something straight from Call Me if You Get Lost, and the Jazzy chord progression is a refreshing moment of tranquility before Tucca ultimately dives back into the original instrumental for one final anthemic eruption.

Let’s talk about “Get Money,” the groovy summer vibe from Bishop Sparks. The track’s bouncy and bubbly synths are guided by a triplet hi hat pattern and springy kicks. The simplicity of the drums allows Bishop Sparks and Fuego Adams, the tracks feature, to effortlessly spit their verses and get creative. Near the track’s choruses, a tropical guitar lick is spread across the background, further adding to the chill groove.
“Get Money” has a beat that feels like it could house artists like GoldLink and Kyle, but the rappers have a little more weight to their energy. Their verses are sprinkled with melodic licks and vocal layers that partner with the vibrant synths to create a dreamy soundscape. The track’s bounce along with the soothing melodic tendencies come together to create a great reinforcement to Bishop Sparks and Fuego Adams’ clever bars.
“Get Money” is now on our Hip Hop 2025 Playlist.
Jamaal Matters and Worms Ali have collaborated for their new song “Superb.” The track is a soulful boom bap track backed by an old school sample and Jazzy bass. Jamaal Matters has a stylistic approach that is similar to the legendary Killer Mike with subtle hints of Big K.R.I.T. The beat for “Superb” is timeless and feels like it would’ve been fit for anybody from Mos Def to Cordae, but Jamaal Matters and Worms Ali bring their own specific liveliness to the track.
Jamaal Matters and Worms Ali feel like the start to a modernized Wu-Tang Clan. They’re reviving classic Hip Hop over fifty years after its initial foundation, but bringing a more modernized and invigorating energy to coincide with the current day. At points in “Superb,” the sample is filtered out and we get a taste of the rappers’ raw and natural lyrical abilities. Their flows carry on throughout the song from beginning to end, and “Superb” is the perfect track to showcase how their presence impacts the energy.
