amie kicks us off with her latest single release, “Dog Days,” an uplifting and atmospheric indie-folk tune that belongs on your summer playlist. We really dig the instrumentation and chord changes in this song. Dreamy guitar tracks weave in and out of the mix seamlessly, assisting the vocal melody and providing the harmonic foundation for its duration. We hear synth and piano layers, brass parts, and a choir of voices as this one builds and progresses, each element serving the song, providing that tension and release with the rhythm section.
Fans of My Bloody Valentine and The Sundays will instantly connect with this artist’s signature sound. While paying homage up to her contemporaries, however, amie has a sound all her own.

Hudson Bezotte is back with his most recent single, “City Lights,” a melancholic journey through uncertainty. We kick off with a lonely acoustic guitar track and an incredible vocal melody, both elements flawlessly complimenting each other in this masterful production. As we build further into the song, we hear an emotional acoustic slide guitar and an atmospheric electric guitar that seems to be calling to us from the distance. The vocal harmonies are also nothing short of on point, performed with ease, and pleasing to the ear.
We hear similarities to the music from Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver here; fans of the more mellowed out side of indie-folk will have no problem connecting with Hudson Bezotte’s style. We look forward to hearing more in the near future.

Grain Thief recently dropped “54 Miles to Empty,” a bluegrass inspired americana tune that has us feeling ready to hit the road. We dig the classic bluegrass instrumentation with the addition of steady percussive elements. The vocals are also on point here. We love the authenticity and raw emotion that pierce through this mix, complemented with equally powerful backing vocal harmonies.
Fans of Billy Strings or more old school bluegrass musicians like Doc Watson and Tony Rice will feel right at home with this style of music. Reviving traditional styles through a modern lens is no easy task, yet Grain Thief hits the nail right on the head with this tune.

Jackson Scribner instantly caught our attention with his recent single release, “Depression Kids,” an fresh, introspective take on the modern folk genre. In terms of vocal and instrumental prowess, this song will be hard to beat. We love the combination of guitar tones here. Acoustic to start us off, pedal steel to kick up the emotion, two electric guitar tracks to propel the groove forward; each ornamented with a myriad of studio effects. The vocals in this one are not to be understated. We love Jackson’s voice and his vocal style; intimate and up close without being overbearing. He lays right in the pocket, nailing each line effortlessly in this one.
We hear a mix of Beach House and Peach Pit in this one, exemplified by their dreamy vibe and theatrical indie style. We highly recommend you check out this massively talented emerging artist and look forward to hearing more.
