Kadhja Bonet‘s newest single, Battlewear, released only on Bandcamp, impressed us with its blissful yet bold vocal chords. As she harmonizes, the chords created in the process make an atmosphere of vibrant sound. Accompanying her are fluid bass and electric guitar melodies, as well as a touch of synth chords.
This track is nothing short of enchanting. Its sound is similar to artists like Imogen Heap and Caroline Polachek, using feminine vocals to create unique and intricate chords. This single is titled after her newest EP, which will be fully released in September. You can preorder her new EP on Bandcamp.
Next on our list is a well-deserved addition to our curated synthwave playlist, from Radical Bicep and Chill Collins, titled All Sides. Bringing catchy and exhilarating synth chords, expressive drums, and bold vocals, this track immerses you in the beat and moves you to dance along. The vocals are elevated with an unexpected effect, giving it a unique sound.
We appreciate the instrumental break in the song, as it allows the instrumentation to explore its melodic and rhythmic dynamics. The collaboration of the two artists brings us a groundbreaking view of their combined unique electronic vision. We hope to see more work from the two of them in the future.

Another undiscovered gem has earned a spot on our Women of Trip Hop Playlist, titled ‘Mina’ by Betterthief. Immediately entrancing us is its deep male vocals, performed in whispers, contrasting with the high, bright feminine lead vocal melody. The percussive elements in the drums of the track are hauntingly hypnotic, adding to the moody atmosphere of the track.
The instrumental is mostly electronic, creating a soundscape of eclectic tones that are unique to the song. When put all together, it creates an experimental ambience of intense, thrilling textures. Betterthief is a musical project of Atomise Recordings, based in London, that creates musical and visual art collections.

For our next track, we featured its incredible music video. From Collapsing Scenery, their new single, Magic Button, combines visuals of 1920s-style fashion and cartoon imagery in their music video. The music itself is of an experimental electronic nature, deriving inspiration from genres like acid-punk and psychedelic electronics.
The visuals feature three characters, two men and a woman, who dress up and dance around to the music, along with a cartoon animation of a man playing piano. Throughout the video, it represents the chaotic nature of the music behind it. We encourage you to check out this duo and their groundbreaking creative vision.
