Happy Dust Gang has had enough of the insanity that is Money. Classic punk collides with art rock on this entrancing release. Stylistically fans of cheeky post punk poets like Parquet Courts or Viagra Boys will connect with this vibe, but Happy Dust Gang provides a musical template for a more violent version of mosh than their contemporaries. The jams are tight too, with sneaky Smart Guitar licks heard in their use of harmonics and scratch rhythms. It’s the vocalists daft attention, though, that makes money a hit. It’s musical cinema.

Remedies new single So High gets under your skin. The layered design lands rich as a combination of stacked guitar and contrasting synth swirl beneath the singers presence. Her voice is full of urban twang and an exotic tension. It’s a benefit of her Norwegian accent within this indie rock essence. It’s a convincing detail that adds to the mystery within this eclectic musical tornado. So High is epic.

The Violet Twilight brings psychedelic rock back to its hippie roots on their new single Better Than You. This modern vamp has an essence of nineties alternative rock in the sense that those bands made acoustic rock bangers. The classic acid wash style music video reminds us that this movement started in the chemical induced sixties, but make no mistake, Violet Twilight is a modern indie troubadour. We dig this vibe.

Get pumped. There’s so much to love about Nosebleed, the new single with Weakened Friends. A killer tune on its own two feet, the project gets immortalized courtesy of the songs Hollywood level music video. In both theme and execution everything is excellent about this video. The costumery is effective and the performances land convincing. You’ll have to fill in some of the details, but we love that they let your imagination run wild. From song to vision, everything hits.
