Carl Hauck is somber in his untamed introspections on his recent Drug Holiday. He slobbers some delicate charm on scathing words of reclamation. Seeing things how they really are is a bitch. You might not agree with the methodology but the truth isn’t always comfortable. Hauck blesses his tirade with a classic indie folk vibe that sounds like Sufjan Stevens production a Josh Ritter track. We think its musical bliss, with the classic lyrical soul of vintage Paul Simon. Dig in.

Count The Clock caught our attention with their new single No Way Out. The singers whispery delivery lands entrancing, with heavy realms of indie nostalgia engulfing your senses. Stylistically we hear an influence of Elliot Smith with some compositional movement that recalls the acoustic stylings of one David Grohl. A simple elegant video accentuates the collective vibe and instinctual serenity. Soak into this lullaby vibe. We did.

We adore the metaphysical musical tension at the root of The Lake, the new single from Emma Harner and Henry Jamison. This dreamy duet swirls violently like a melodic personification of aurora borealis. It’s a cosmic ambient indie folk sensuality with dramatic invigoration. Emma’s soothing fury fuels the progressive contrast as production vibe supports channel her ever emotion. We find it equally entrancing and energizing.
