There’s turmoil at the root of how to lie, the new single from avalon. It’s impossible not deny this musical immersion and the emotional complexion of this cinematic musical moment. The singers dynamic approach offers elegant range of feeling. The music responds in tandem to her emotional swings. In that way she recalls an influence of Billie Eilish with some added indie folk swagger. We love that.

No Love For The Middle Child caught our attention with their new single Monochrome. The project convincingly bridges the realms and indie pop and a delectable abstract movement in mainstream music. We hear elements of Mk.gee and Bon Iver with some scattered sentiments of straight up pop. Its a smart radio ready release. WE can dig it.

There’s a curious nostalgia to 6am Curse, the new single from MIR.FLAW. Perhaps its the song buried beneath cascading layers of guitars and synths. Dressed in this manner it triggers imaginative interpretations of this moment. They land cosmic and metaphysical; mixed with this natural world but permanently tethered to some electrical future. In that way it connect with works from Coldplay, Muse, and Radiohead. That’s a good thing. Hanging on for the ending. This one goes to deep space.

Elise Trouw cheekily explores what might make up The Perfect Girl. Her new concept single is paired with an excellent music video that screams relatable. There’s a bit of irony in this moment as our vixen is arguably already perfect. But alas, so our modern times challenge convention at every turn. Everybody’s an expert. Everybody has an opinion they want to swing as truth. Everybody has a different version of perfect. Dressed in this proto pop package, The Perfect Girl is the Perfect rebound anthem. Don’t let anyone tell you you’re not beautiful. Have fun with this.
