Biloba reflects on a coming of age existential crisis on their recent Ship of Theseus. They dress this musical Odyssey with indie orchestral production. It adds to the drama of the conflict. Simple dry vocal add to the collective contrast. Its a charming kind of hurt with subtle catchy appeal. We dig it.

School Book Depository is an imaginary storage facility where the Swedish musician and songwriter Fredrik Solfors releases his songs and videos. His lated Rats Polluting Skies reiterates his art first ethos. He doesn’t hold back, either. The new single is excellently produced. Stylistically we hear elements of Lord Huron and acoustic Flaming Lips. Its a testament to the subtle psych meets Americana blend.

The truth hurts. The statements rings on North Hollywood, the new single from BIESCHIU. Lyrically its a gentle retrospect on the backwards reality of this storied plight. The Hollywood version of Hollywood just doesn’t check out. Its more often that less traveled narrative of diner waiter and sideshow hustler. The artist dressed that story in a dreamy indie folk pop package akin to Billie Eilish. We love it.

It’s been a while since we thought about Humpty Dumpty. The nursery rhyme offered metaphorical influence for indie fok songwriter Ananya Ashok. The story checks out, with a convincing twist that bears brevity and foresight. Its more than just a story, its a reality check. Ananya is putting the pieces back together with a strong smart arrangement. Her voice is mint, too. Get into it
