Emmalee Rainbow gets refreshingly honest on her new single I’ve Had Some Wine. The arrangement finds Emmalle and band embracing a classic indie rock vibe featuring illuminated shimmering guitars. Rainbow compliments that blend with an epic melody graced with subtle nostalgia and blessed with perfect lyrics. Stylistically we hear an influence of 80s alternative mixed with modern indie pop and a slight Swiftie rhetoric. We think its intoxicating.

We dig the psychedelic pop of Bandy. Their new single Stupid Town can shine in any format, but we like the jangly drenched approach Bandy brings to this arrangement. It’s fairly off center while emulating an old broken warped tape machine. In that manner it honors 60s psychedelia with some added fidelity in the drums to twist it modern. It’s damn catchy too, with some clever chord changes that land genius.

We lost ourselves in the dreamy curiousity of wanted, the new single from Honeyed. Washes of atmosphere swirl in the backdrop as a robotic vocal stack harmonizes intriguingly. The singers natural voice breaks through in batches while the arrangement makes all the right cinematic shifts. The song is a classic headphone getaway, a musical portal to an inspired dream world. Stylistically its a sure thing for fans of Bon Iver and Imogen Heap.

Slack stoner shoegaze dream pop is not exactly what ICHIWAWA is known for but its a nice adaption into new realms for the imaginative bedroom pop producer. Their new single blends the realms of The Cure, Car Seat Headrest, and a more bizarre sonic construct. The song is called Blessing your neck w/ new perfume and its not all happy. The bridge drops like a buzz kill before returning to its catchy pop foundation. A pop that’s instantly catchy and basked in stylistic intention. We dig it.
