New Constellations break new ground with their single I Disappear. Their love affair with nostalgia gets thwarted by a fresh inclination towards indie pop. The eclectic genre blending twist bears evidence of nineties pop influence while also paying homage to fellow synth pop duos like Sylvan Esso or The XX. Its a testament to an ever-evolving live show that’s proven lead singer Harlee Case to be an unstoppable inevitability in the world of indie newcomers. Her infectious nature won’t be denied, and the charming camaraderie she shares with multi instrumentalist Josh Smith only adds to the magnetism.

Sidney finds all the right anecdotes to express her romantic turmoil on her recent single long haul. Its the perfect indie pop tribute to loves complicated reality. You hope for it until it happens, then you realize things might have been easier if it hadn’t. Love isn’t always convenient, or maybe it never is. There’s a level of compromise needed to make it work long term. It weighs heavy on creative types, like songwriters. Hopefully Sidney works it out, but for us; we get a great song out of the deal. Dig in.

Van Chamberlain brings sweet contrast to their new single Running Through The World. Its a sweet collective sentiment that blends the worlds of twee folk and 80s alternative. Like the Shins or Elliot Smith front The Sundays. Its both dreamy and intoxicating. Hear for yourself.

The band is called Berries and the song is called Blue My Mind. Okay, we think that’s funny; but this psych pop bop is anything but a joke. Creatively produced and full of musical quip, Blue My Mind is smart trippy fun. Its a cool art pop combination. Stylistically we think its a sure thing for fans of The Flaming Lips or MGMT. Enjoy yourself.
