Best New Rock – Beachdust, The October Prize, Youth Valley

Progressive psych rock vibes hit surreal in the brilliant blend offered by Beachdust on their new single CLEFT. Clever guitar work glitters the arrangement while drum and bass bros offer proper rhythmic juice. This one is for jam heads who dig Tame Impala and King Gizz. We’re into it.

The October Prize drop a surefire hit with their new single Wide Awake (Losing Control). They find the middle ground between The Black Keys and Florence Welsh. Its absolutely intoxicating and radio ready. Damn that’s catchy!

Youth Valley caught our attention with their new single cerberus. A clever rhythm design peaks your curiosity in the songs hypnotic intro. In that opening section find the middle ground between DIIV and Mars Volta. What proceeds adapts a bit heavier and we love it. Soothing dark nostalgic dream wave vocals collide with an intense shoegaze breakout in the songs magnetic heavy section. We simply love this release.
