Music Videos We Love – The Fourth Wall, NewDad, Mildfire, Apollo Rising

The Fourth Wall says what we’re all thinking on their new single Never A Part.  They add an effective music video that works convincingly with the drama of the music.  We were enamored by its clever simplicity and impressive coordination.  It’s the kind of video that inspires wild assumptions as you try to puzzle in the missing pieces.  It honors this complicated lyrical narrative.  The song crushes too.  It’s no wonder the band has won opening slots for notables like Band of Horses and The Shins. Check it out.

The Fourth Wall – Never A Part

We dig the dark dreamy contrast of Nightmares, the new single from NewDad.  It’s the first thing that draws you in before colliding with the progressive alt rock pivot heard in the chorus section.  For us it connects with the smart songwriting known to Boy Genius with some added shoegaze influence.  The video is clever too, crafting the artists own bizarre wonderland, one that truly fits the aura of the music.  We find it delightful.  Press Play and Enjoy.

You must learn to accept your loneliness.”  It’s the statement that opens the mood in the video for Persona Non Grata, the new single from Mildfire.  A gorgeous imaginative single at its essence, it elegantly embraces an influence of Radiohead and Khruangbin.  There’s gorgeous orchestration that accentuates the drama and adds to its flowing nature.  The video honors its intensity and inner turmoil.  It chronicles mundane convention with timely overlays and subtle clues worthy of your full attention.  A complete story with the music as the backdrop, no dialogue but the lyrics is needed.  See for yourself.

Mildfire – Persona Non Grata

Apollo Rising caught our attention with the video for their new single Cherry Blossom.  A catchy electro indie pop single in the vein of Jon Bellion and EDEN, the project offers an intriguing video to help visualize their concept.  This tortured broken vigilante show no quit in his search for vengeance.  There’s a suspicion as if to suspect this aide might come unwanted.  Or maybe it’s all a dream twisting his need for retribution.  There’s a noir reverence to the video, seemingly set in some new dark dystopian urban magnet for villains, and it works.  See it now.
