Sunjammer are convincing on their new single I Wanna Quit. A proper classic rock throwback brings vintage soul psychedelic energy with modern indie appeal. In that way they connect with acts like The Heavy Heavy and Delta Spirit, while paying homage to CCR and the Guess Who. Like them all they bring raucous energy into the Americana canon. They add an infectious vocal line that immediately gets under your sking. I Wanna Quit is a mantra for most of us. Find your inner runaway spirit and let it lift you out of corporate hell.

It’s the world against Alex E.T. on her new single Little Wars. An inspired alt rock gem finds the middle ground between Grunge and 80s alternative elegantly. The artists compliments those vibes with a magnetic vocal performance. Her voice is smooth enough for songwriter pop, but she finds the energy that gives this performance some convincing edge. The band is collectively killer, with ripping guitar tones full of tube tone churn and gritty shimmer. We freakin love it.

The Devil Is Real drops a seasonal gem with their recent Down to the Graveyard. This motorcycle vamp has some T Rex glam traits combined with the modern indie chic familiar to The Black Keys. The group has their own charismatic unabashed singer who gives this psych garage throwback some notable character to match the companion videos retro feel. The horror collage music video is a ton of fun. Get into the fright season.

The new EP from Altai has arrived and its sure to propel courtesy of its latest single They Owe Him. The smart composition has a progressive moody spirit. Its both dreamy and assertive, full of elegant contrast and proficient attack. The singers exotic voice is irresistable and intoxicating. You’ll melt into the essence of her haunting voice while the band simultaneously wakes you like a warning. Stylistically we hear evidence of REM and Cranberries as well as modern indies like Grizzly Bear and Doves. We find it exhilirhating.
