Retro Pop Revival – The Strike, Zimmer & Local Suicide, International Drug Lords

The Strike brings blissful nostalgia on their new single No Time To Waste (End of May). Damn we love this aesthetic. A gorgeous combination of retro and modern pop lands immortal on this impressive release. In that way it recalls synthwave super group The Midnight. Like them, The Strike have the chops for mainstream radio while honoring their retro roots. In that way they could appeal to synthwave fans as well as fans of The 1975 or Harry Styles. Well done.

We love the mysterious essence of The Night, the new single and video from Zimmer & Local Suicide. The video honors the songs dramatic aura. There’s a creepy cosmic reverence to this vibe, one that seems steeped in some secret knowing unbenounced to commoners. Effectively produced and cinematically enhanced, The Night is a refreshing dark club banger.

Great music videos are our spirit animal and we got that and so much more from SLUT CRUSH, The New Single from International Drug Lords. There’s sex in your violence on this dark gem. These images aren’t for everyone, but if you’re a fan of dark cinema and over indulgence you’ll get into it. Stylistically the song is an erotic post punk industrial tinged tirade. We like it darker.
