There’s so much to love within the video for Solitaire, the new singel from Love, BB. A killer concept gets illuminated by the authentic brilliance of the music. Vocal jazz pop needs a new hero and this vixen fits the bill. She’s got all the pizzaz and magnetism known to the greats. Like a dark haired Julie London. The video pokes fun at both the cinema of the time, and current stereotypes about Jazz’s appeal. Truthfully, a lot of people just don’t get Jazz. For the ones that do, its everything.
Heimat caught our attention with their new single Don’t You Tell Me. This moody indie rock masterpiece adapts with complicated implications courtesy of the song music video. An array of images and metaphorical scenes pull the polar vibe darker. Stylistically their sounds sways between shoegaze grunge moods and dream pop with some added sultry appeal and sexual yearning. We’re super into it.
&Tilly scores again. This time its with her new single you & them & missing, a collaboration with BlauDisS. If gothic trip hop were a genre this vibe fits the bill. You can’t help but find a correlation between her vocal tendencies and the work of Maynard James Keenan. There’s also a lot of Bjork and Kate Bush in this aura. The cosmic brilliance of the electronic arrangement adds to the videos distopian presence. The starlet herself shines in this isolated tortured portrait. We adore her. Press play!
