Best New Indie – Queen Anne, Tre.Charles, E.Lundquist, Lucy Frost, feelx, Berries

Katie Silverman is a creative force to be reckoned with. The multi- talented star has made waves as an actress, but she’s also a hell of a good songwriter. Working with producer Sandy Chila, their project Queen Anne is truly buzzworthy. Their new song Baby Girl (Likes To Lie) embraces Silverman’s alter ego while showcasing her intuitive performance skills. Katie gives so much emotion to the performance that you can truly feel the narrative. The lyrics are amazing too, weaving together poetic imagery that lands elusive. Stylistically she’s got Swiftie level lyrical chops combined with a more indie musical aesthetic. We love that style.

The huge wash on their vocal lands tasteful despite its big echo tail. It just adds to the mystical essence baked into the artists skills. This is a sure thing for fans of Hozier or Mk.gee.

We dig the rare throwback nature of feels so real, the new single from feelx. Unironically all about a feeling, the new single is a layered pseudo electro escape. It recalls an influence of Beck or Moby with some modern psych pop flavor. We love that blend.

They call themselves Berries and we’ve come to find that they make some great music. Their new single Good Grief feels more serious then their name suggests, but the playful synths add some delicate contrast to the writings melancholy essence. The blend of thoughtful songwriting and synth backdrops finds the middle ground between My Morning Jacket and MGMT. Its a cool vibe.
