Undiscovered Gems – Niki Moss, Tove Styrke, Maevrie x Danny Crush

Cool synths and killer songwriting chops with a retro influence to boot! Niki Moss has a good one in his new single Getting To The Bottom. Adding some tasteful guitar he conjures visions of Prince altered by an indie pop influenced vocal part. Its dreamy cinematic new wave fit for a nostalgic montage.

Tove Styrke finds her electric Sunflower. Her new single is an imaginative synth laden beauty. Stylistically we here auras of Kate Bush mixed with modern modes familiar to Christine and the Queens. Like both Tove is full of soul within a synth aesthetic. It’s a hypnotic blend.

There’s sex in your violence on Violence and Perfume, the new single from Maevrie and Danny Crush. Sultry and seductive within a classic trip hop aesethetic, Maevrie adds a jazzy lounge touch to this dark DJ aesthetic. Stylistically we hear evidence of Massive Attack and Thievery Corporation. Maevrie has a dynamic touch, showing various shades in the songs second movement that bear a versatility similar to Raye.
