We love what we’re hearing from Townsend and their new single slipping. The Nashville recording artist isn’t reinventing the wheel; they make good effective indie pop songs altered with a subtle grunge punk influence. It shouldn’t work but the stylistic swings are super smooth in graceful. It’s all boosted but the artists impressive vocal performance, one full of energy and strong conviction. Stylistically we think they connect with a vibe familiar to buzz newcomers Illiterate Light.

The beginning of Someone to Hold On To is a mirage. The new single from Marianne Engebretsen starts like a ballad, but as it moves into its upbeat section it thrusts you into an excitable uptick. Yearning for a second chance Marianne feels every moment of this lyrical message. The performance is impressive and bears to versions of her ego; the vulnerable and the resilient.

McClendon dropped a photo of sheep on his IG and wrote “went to the UK & took a lot of photos of sheep essentially”. Otherwise he hasn’t said anything in the last year and a half on IG. His team recently sent us a promo request for his single Change Your Mind, which came out 2 years ago, and we’re hoping this is some kind of subliminal message about a new release announcement forthcoming. McClendon was one of the first artists we covered, and we love him dearly.
