Bending Backwards does a lot we love on their new single Bend You Out Of Shape. They’re NOT ON SPOTIFY. so watch this video now!!!
What did you think!? Bending Backwards is amazing, right!?
We love the singers voice, it’s rare and obscure. The we the untamed energy the band brings to the performance, and the smooth vibrant groove from the unlikely drum part. Most bands would f this up, but the up and coming Danish Band has some real chops to match their underground indie rock influence. They find the middle ground between Mars Volta and Hey Mercedes. We love it.

Loco Tranquilo is the project of Argentine-born, San Francisco-based musician Julián Armando Gervasi. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Gervasi left Argentina young and embarked on an unconventional journey through the United States that eventually brought him to California. With little more than a guitar and a dream, he built his musical identity through travel, independence, experimentation, and perseverance. The name Loco Tranquilo was born from a chance encounter with Devendra Banhart, who told Gervasi, “Tranquilo, man.” Combined with the Argentine use of “loco” as an affectionate way of saying dude or man, the name became a philosophy: chaos and calm, restlessness and peace, always moving beneath the surface. We’re big fans of their new single SUEŇO.

Both precision and fury have a stake in Exile, the new single from The Kaves. Paired with the music video there’s no doubt that some angst sits at the bedrock of this mission. Rock is not dead. The Kaves bring some alt rock spirit to a sound familiar to indies like Delta Spirit.

Now for a wonderful throwback. The legacies of The Beatles and their treasured contemporary offer some inspiriation for Until You Have No Choice, the new single from Salo Pallini and Walt Phelan. With some added indie energy in the spirit of Dr Dog, Salo and co pen a new retro rock epic complete with a dramatic finish and a big arrangement. We love it.

A little insane and a ton of fun, Dead Horse show their dark side on their new single Funny Farm. A little bizarre but undoubtedly invigorating, Dead Horse make classic punk feel fresh again. The video is a trip too. Be careful what (or who) you look for on the interweb. Tread lightly!

Keegan Powell has an Urge To Learn. An affinity for nineties underground rock and some of whats on the surface fuels his vibrant persona. The energy suits his penchant for bright shimmering guitar tones and earnest melodies. In that way we hear notes of Built to Spill and more recently Band of Horses, adapted with an added vintage much like the video style above. We really dig it man!
