Interpretive dances are likely when caught up in the catchy bliss of sleep deceit, the new single from Mega Fäuna. An eighties pop influence infiltrates indie pop instincts elegantly on this magnetic release. The singers smooth timbre graces the surface carefully as an inspired synth charts melodic earworms in tandem. The Australian all female five piece has serious writing and arrangement chops, bringing the influence of The Cranberries into the Boy Genius canon.

Eden Rain welcomes a new age with her new single Open Season. Clever production intersects infectious melodic rhetoric on this catchy gem. Stylistically we evidence of Lorde or Christine and the Queens mixed with Rain’s own unique intellectual pop essence. She knows when to hang on a feeling and which lines deserve a second notion. Open Season is a vibe and we’re all for it.

Anya Anastasia is the real thing. Whether she’s bringing it on stage (see above) or embracing all that the studio has too offer she shines. Further evidence is found on the studio take of the aforementioned Mothership. The South Australian art rock siren makes the studio her servant with an effective performance that showcases the effectiveness of her band. The interplay between bow, string, and drum is entrancing. Anya herself uses her voice like a spiritual guide to chart the course to The Mothership. Its imaginative and gloriously cinematic. Stylistically she’s a sure than for fans of Grizzly Bear or Dirty Projectors.

Thomas Azier embracnes his haunting intoxicating essence on the new single Room of Love. The trip hop backbeat adds just the right rhythmic sway to glue this moment together. Azier himself is untamed, honoring the legacy of stalwarts like Billie Holiday and their ability to exist in some ethereal abstract plane while still staying within the moment of the song. Its beauty personified. A sure thing for fans of James Blake and Thome Yorke.
