Pittsburgh eclectic rockers King Blue Heron blend their influences impressively on their new single Dogs. Cascading tube toned guitars find harmonious noise within the trash of cymbals and bass born rumbles. An almost sweet voice breaks through, finding enough scorn in her history to make Dogs sound scathing.
It’s indie rock with an appreciation for shoegaze. It fits in well with the Boy Genius canon and has a big sound that will rip any room apart. We love what they’re doing.

&Tilly flaunts her unique beauty in the reflective portrait offered in the video for Clearest Blue. The CHVRCHES cover gets a moody chill electro rework courtesy of our favorite prolific Czech duo. The band themselves might call us blasphemous but much like Manfred Mann’s ‘Blinded By The Light’ and the Black Crowes ‘Hard to Handle’ we can’t help but like this cover version more than the original.
Its a testament to &Tilly’s rare collective touch and special partnership, one where the singers hypnotically haunting voice and the producers intuitive innovative touch compliment each other wonderfully. It’s all we ask for in a cover, something that offers a different perspective while respecting the sanctity of the song.

Count The Clock string together unlikely influences and wrap them in an entrancing indie pop package with their new single Ballerina Song. Psychedelic Folk Pop intersects with a respective Jazz Vocal ethos on this convincing gem. A collectively cool performance from singer Leannie finds the middle ground between Jeff Buckley, Elliot Smith, and Joni Mitchell. Leannie is simply fantastic on this track!
Count The Clock is an art-pop project whose music is written and arranged by LA-based songwriter and composer Michael Coe. Drawing from a colorful spectrum of influences, from shoegaze to baroque pop to Disney musicals, Count The Clock’s continuing aim is to explore the outer limits of pop music: melding sugary sweet melodies with experimental song structures and abstract lyricism.
