Damn. Give us all the epic gut wrenching heartfelt rock anthems. Fright Years has one. The song is called Dye Star and its your new energizer bunny. Sam Fender, Florence and the Machine, Arcade Fire; take your pick. Fright Years is just as effective as all of them while not exactly emulating any of them. They’re their own machine. They are a force. Reckon with it.

Make noise beautiful. Muti can. Their new single 1104(Enamoured By You) make modern music technology make sense in the world of shoegaze. Its like electricity is tapped into the veins of a modern rock band. Dirty, distorted, frizzled, and fractured. I know what they’re saying some times, but I feel what they’re saying at all times. Something for the hip hop kids to get into too.

A hypnotic telecast finds Resa Saffa Park whistleblowing the truths of Standing Still. Poetic and entrancing, the Nordic singer resents contemporary ballads for a chance at innovative indie rock arrangements. She’s got some Jeff Buckley essence mixed with moody trip hop influences. We love that.

Brooklyn Doran’s new album Sleeping Dogs has a little bit of everything and we love all of it. Elements of alt folk and indie rock are subject to her rare touch. The single Sleep Alone has elements of Band of Horses or Boy Genius mixed with the melodic ease of Gigi Perez. Its just your first listen, get into the whole album for the complete experience.
